Life insurance
Commission audit software for life insurance agents.
Life commission pays big up front and small for years after — and both are easy to get wrong. Commission Guardian checks every first-year, renewal and trail payment against your own contract and flags what came up short.
Six ways a life book leaks commission
First-year paid at the wrong rate
Your contract says 90% of target premium; the statement pays 80%, or pays on excess premium at the target rate. One policy can be hundreds of dollars.
Renewals that quietly stop
Years two through ten pay small percentages that nobody watches. When they stop or drop, the loss compounds for years.
Chargebacks larger than they should be
A lapse in month eight should claw back only the unearned portion. Full reversals take money you already earned.
Annuity trails missed
Asset-based trails depend on account value. Missing or miscalculated trails rarely show up unless someone recomputes them.
Issued policies never paid
A policy is placed and in force, but commission never appears on a statement. Only a book-to-statement match catches it.
Product names you did not choose
"20 Yr Level Term", "IUL Accumulator", "MYGA 5 Yr" — carrier shorthand is matched to your rate card automatically.
Products covered
Term, permanent, final expense and annuities
Rates are stored per carrier and product, with separate first-year and renewal percentages. Use your own agreement — the scanner never guesses a rate, and lines without one are flagged for review.
Term life
Level term 10/15/20/30, return of premium term, mortgage protection, simplified issue term
Permanent life
Whole life, final expense, guaranteed issue, universal life, IUL, variable UL
Annuities
MYGA, fixed indexed, immediate and deferred income annuities, with trails
How an audit runs
- 1. Add the carrier and your rate card. First-year and renewal percentages per product — or drop in the carrier's rate sheet.
- 2. Bring in your book. Policy number, insured, product, premium and issue date from a spreadsheet export.
- 3. Drop in the statement. Spreadsheet, CSV or carrier PDF — read in your browser.
- 4. Read the findings. Short-paid, never paid, wrong rate and oversized chargebacks, each with the arithmetic shown.
- 5. Send the dispute. A letter quoting the policy, premium, your rate and the exact shortfall.
